Hision is the brand of Ningbo Haitian Precision Machinery Co., Ltd., a CNC machine tool builder listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (601882). The company was founded in 2002 inside the Haitian Group, which has been manufacturing machinery since the 1960s and is best known worldwide for plastic injection moulding machines. CNCmarket.ca Inc. is Hision's partner in Canada — the vertical machining centres and CNC lathes on this site are Hision machines.
Hision itself employs close to 2,300 people and runs over 570,000 m² of climate-controlled machining and assembly space. The parent Haitian Group — two listed companies across six industries — has around 11,000 employees, 3 million m² of production area and total assets of about 4.6 billion USD. For a buyer, the point is simple: the machine is built by a company large enough to make its own castings, spindles and core parts, and to still be around when the machine needs service in ten years.
Hision builds six series of machines:
Vertical Machining Centres — from cost-effective belt- and direct-drive models to high-end built-in spindle machines, for automotive parts, moulds and general engineering.
CNC Lathes — one-piece cast beds designed with finite-element analysis, built for rigidity and heavy cutting.
Horizontal Machining Centres — T-bed construction with pallet changers, for precision box parts in automotive, rail and general industry.
Double Column Machining Centres — for moulds, rail, automotive, appliance and medical parts.
CNC Vertical Lathes — for automotive, bearing, valve, wind power and general machinery work.
Horizontal Boring and Milling Machines — four-sided machining of large box-type parts in one setup.
Hision designs, builds and tests its own built-in (motor) spindles and holds patents on them; the range also covers universal AC heads and automatic milling heads. In-house there is a materials research institute, dedicated electroplating and heat-treatment shops, metrology to 0.6 µm, and fatigue, impact and tensile testing. The company is recognised in China as a National Major Technical Equipment Enterprise and a National High-Tech Enterprise.
Beyond single machines, Hision builds complete FMS lines — from small cells to fully automated, unattended production for mould making, energy, automotive, rail and machinery manufacturing.
